Horses and berries and quads, oh my…

So, after a fantastic breakfast cooked by Aunty Rhonda we headed out to help (or hinder) moving the horses from one paddock to the other. Erin and Claire helped Rhonda move the horses, while I held the eldest mare.

Once the horses were safely housed, we picked some whitecurrents and raspberries ready for preserving, then some tomatoes and cucumbers from the greenhouse.

Jeff and Rhonda grabbed the keys to the quads, and we went out for a ride. Jeff took Erin in the side-by-side, Rhonda drove Claire, and I was driven by Xander (with Koda on my lap). We scrambled through the land to the boundary, then off onto the trails, returning about 45 minutes later (to watch Jeff and Erin pull some three-wheelers and doughnuts).

Jeff and Rhonda treated us to lunch at Takysie Lake, and a quick look around the general store. Then an extended drive back, stopping to check the spillway. After returning, we had a fantastic dinner (again cooked by Rhonda) before catching up with Byron, Joni, Brooklyn and Xander into the evening.
